Electronic Dance Music and innovation go hand in hand. However, few of these innovators manage to stay in touch with the demands of today’s musical scene evolving at breakneck speeds stimulated by the phenomenon of social media.

Kris Vanderheyden, known under a plethora of alter ego’s has always been a notorious exception to this rule. Ever since his first genre defining techno releases, Kris has managed to marry underground appeal and daredevil innovation with an indelible crossover mainstream appeal.

Kris is easily viewed as one of the pioneers of the original rave scene, forming the spine of mythical events such as Mayday in Germany, Storm Rave in New York and being the creator of anthems that made the mythical techno temple “Boccaccio” in Ghent, Belgium rumble.

As a pioneer in dance tracks crossing over into main Pop charts worldwide, Kris’ song “Sugar is Sweeter” got remix treatment by New York house DJ Armand van Helden and became one of the biggest selling house tunes of 1996. His song “The Prophet” formed a one time bridge between rave and techno and became a genre defining crossover track still very much played today.

INSIDER as a project inspired generations of deejay’s and producers and ever since “Destiny” mutated the rave scene with it’s grinding futuristic sounds, the feel of the track got used and re-used to form the basis of a profusion of styles as diverse as Warehouse Techno, Rave and Hardtrance.
Another classic track “Boots On The Run” is the most licensed and compiled song originating from Belgium ever, quite an achievement on its own.

Kris is a real master in mixing his all time classics with newly made tracks in sync with today’s sounds and he’s ready to destroy the dance floor! His legendary live acts still headline main stages and festivals in the Benelux Europe including Tomorrowland.

Performing a show of his own productions along with current hits by his progeny only makes Kris stand out among the competition and his presence and flare make this real old school renegade a future headliner for your lineup.
